What comes next, after your project is recorded and mixed?
In a word, mastering. Mastering is the final step your audio goes through
before being heard by the public. Don’t underestimate the power of
mastering to add that final sparkle to your mix and make it broadcast ready.
At SWS we use state of the art mastering software to ensure that your mixes
sound as full, as punchy and as polished as anything released in the marketplace
today.
SWS offers very affordable mastering services at a fraction of the cost of a
dedicated mastering facility. How can we do this? The answer is simple. It is
because advanced technology is becoming more affordable everyday. As technology
prices decrease, we are able to pass the savings on to you. Many of our clients
are self-financed independent artists who are operating on a budget and let’s
face it, mastering a complete CD at the typical rate of $300 per hour in a dedicated
mastering lab is not an affordable option for a many of them.
Mastering can be an elusive subject to understand for the novice recordist,
so we strongly recommend that you read the articles, "Mastering
Basics" and "The Future of Music" below to gain a better
understanding of what mastering is and how it can be used to enhance
your project. |
